About the Authors

A.C. Wise is the author of the novels Wendy, Darling and Hooked and the recent short story collection, The Ghost Sequences. Her work has won the Sunburst Award, and been a  finalist for the Nebula, Stoker, World Fantasy, Aurora, Locus, Shirley  Jackson, British Fantasy, Lambda Literary, and Ignyte Awards. In  addition to her fiction, she contributes a regular  review column to Apex Magazine. Find her online at www.acwise.net.

E. Lily Yu is the author of On Fragile Waves, which won the 2022 Washington Book Award for Fiction, and Jewel Box, forthcoming in October 2023. Over thirty of her short stories have appeared in venues from McSweeney’s to Tor.com.

Eugenia Triantafyllou is a Greek author and artist with a flair for dark things. Her work has been nominated for the Ignyte, Nebula, and World Fantasy Awards, and she is a graduate of Clarion West Writers Workshop. You can find her stories in Uncanny, Strange Horizons, Apex,  and other venues. Yoon Ha Lee is the author of Ninefox Gambit, which won the Locus Award for Best First Novel and was shortlisted for the Hugo, Nebula, and Clarke awards; its sequels, Raven Stratagem and Revenant Gun, were also Hugo finalists. His middle grade novel Dragon Pearl won the Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Children’s Literature and was a New York Times bestseller. He lives in Louisiana with his family and a very lazy catten, and has not yet been eaten by gators.

Kemi Ashing-Giwa was born and raised in sunny Southern California, where she grew up on a steady diet of sci-fi and fantasy. She enjoys learning about the real universe as much as she likes making ones up. After studying integrative biology and astrophysics at Harvard University, she joined the Earth & Planetary Sciences department at Stanford University as a PhD student. Her debut novel, THE SPLINTER IN THE SKY, will be published in July 2023. Her debut novella, THIS WORLD IS NOT YOURS, will be published by Tor Nightfire/Macmillan in 2024.

Jeffrey Ford is the author of the novels The Physiognomy, Memoranda, The Beyond, The Portrait of Mrs. Charbuque, The Girl in the Glass, The Cosmology of the Wider World, and The Shadow Year. His story collections are, The Fantasy Writer’s Assistant, The Empire of Ice Cream, The Drowned Life, and Crackpot Palace. His short fiction has appeared in numerous journals, magazines and anthologies, from MAD Magazine to The Oxford Book of American Short Stories.
